I've ordered the Milodon t-stat. We'll see what that does.

I did put a light coat of paint on the tanks, and dusted the fins in
places where they missed. I can't imagine this did anything.

How do you test a fan clutch? I THINK mine is OK, but maybe it makes
sense to get a new one as it came out of a pile of extra fans &
clutches I had under my bench?

I've been looking for an excuse to buy an IR thermometer...I guess
this is that excuse.

I'll give US Rad a call this afternoon.

Gary Wilson-65 Coronet, 318 Poly, Rad core is 18.5"x22" w/ the fan
offset to the pass side. Should be a metal shroud???
