Ray,You have a really cool car in a 1962 Dart four door. Yes, everybody likes two doors but the four door Dart looks great in my opinion. There are some body styles that wear four doors without looking bloated or "expanded" and the '62 Dart is one of them. I wouldn't hesitate on buying a four or two door '62, whichever came first. And, if it has the Poly 318, then that is definitely a plus; so many choices with that unique motor. Putting more money into a car that you like and do not intend to resell is not a bad decision. Investments are for items you want to turn for a profit...

Know what you mean about throwing money into "classic cars" , that what's its all about.. My money pits have to be different. Cannot show up with a tri 5 Chevy, Mustang or Camaro. Its neat to show up in a 41 Ply Sedan Delivery, only 3200 produced, 65 Ply Satellite Petty Clone or 66 AMC Rambler convertible. Keep having fun Ray. Ollie-----Original Message----- From: Ray Henry

The only thing in the front end not showing play were the inner tie rod ends, so $800 worth of parts later, the labor begins. Hoping it's done for the weekend. So $900 for the car, $1600 for materials to do the body, $500 to swap out the tired old engine for a better one, $1000 for a transmission, $550 for a set of rear leaf springs, $1000 for killer dual exhaust, and now this. So I'm about $6,350 into a car that has a current book value of.... About half that? If I'm lucky. :P Good thing I don't plan on selling this, as the interior will run me another $1,500, and I have plans to build a stronger engine for next year. Oh, yeah. A new set of wheels and tires. Yes, I have a sickness. Never before have I invested more into a car that it can be worth. So why this '62 4-dr post Dart? Maybe because I can sit it just the half-finished way it is next to anything at a car show, and attract more attention..... At any rate, I can't seem to stop wanting to throw money at this beast.... I even sold a '57 Chev 2-dr hardtop in order to concentrate on working on this thing.... That all being said, if anyone has a stock pile of parts collecting dust that contains stuff I need, please let me know. - Speedo head - Driver's door window regulator (4-dr) - Taillights - Straight rear bumper -- -- Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
