Thanks Dave! OK, so after reading the links people have sent in this
thread, I've got the tapered-axle-puller religion. Would you be
interested in selling yours, since you no longer need it? :)

It looks like tooltopia has the pullers I need, for around $140-150.
(VERY cool site -- they have my grandfather's invention, the Mityvac)
:) Anyway, the pullers are still expensive, and they don't state if
they are made in the USA. I'm guessing (hoping!) for that price they
are. I think most K-D tools are made here. But I digress.
