Thanks Dodger, I am really bad with thousandths.  I had heard that
intake side of head should be milled  2/3 of what the deck side of the
head is milled.  Is that comparable with your formula ?

And what 65 Darwin says--That is an issue I had not thought of . Even
tho the intake surfaces are at the correct angle, will it mis align
the bolt holes and port match????  I can't quite get my foggy brain
around that.

Don D. said with stock 1978 passrmger car 440 heads (8.2 C.R. ?)  that
60 thou. milling would wake that engine up. What he did not say was
what the comp ratio would be or what else would need to be done to
make it all fit together correctly.  I am kinda thinking about a 30-40
thous. milling.
