Some guys use a blow-dryer for hair to soften up the headliner.----- Original Message ----- From: <pjlenn@xxxxxxxxx> To: "The 1962 to 1965 Mopar Mail List Clubhouse" <1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

You only want to glue the edges. Make sure you keep the bows in the right order as there are slight differences between them. Lay the headliner out in the sun and get it good and warm so it will stretch. Good Luck Paul On Jun 30, 10:38 am, Jim Altemose <jaltemo...@xxxxxxxxx> wrote:
I might try installing a new headliner on my 63 Polara 500 this weekend. I've been reviewing some previous posts on it. I have a couple of questions about the adhesive. 1. Do you only glue the edges, or do you glue the whole enchilada, including between the bows and such? 2. Can you use a general purpose adhesive from Lowes or Home Depot or some such? 3. It sounds like you want the paint on adhesive, not spray. When I looked at Summit and Eastwood, all I see is spray. If I can't get it from a hardware store, what's a good source? Any other advice to questions I'm not asking? As always, thanks. - Jim Jim Altemose, Long Island, NY '63 Polara 500 (Max Wedge) '63 Polara 500 (383) '65 Belvedere I (Street Wedge) '71 Bronco
