Re: Intake Manifold

Mabendaspoor,

You've found the right place to ask poly questions...WELCOME!!!

This intake will NOT work on a Poly "A" motor. It's for an "LA" motor (318-340-360). Notice the intake runners on the 7576 unit are "paired" together.

The holes in the manifold from the bottom on an LA intake are...

coolant, intake, intake, exhaust crossover (but the 7576 does not have this), intake, intake, coolant.

If you're looking the a stock single 4 barrel manifold, then the configuration you want is like this... ebay #150621065105. Notice the intake ports are NOT "paired"...

Going from left to right, the holes in the manifold are...
intake, coolant, intake, exhaust crossover, intake, blocked coolant, intake

A Poly "A" motor's heads, cam, pistons and intake are unique and can not be swapped with an "LA" motor

A poly motor can use the same crank, rods, timing chain & gears, & distributor that's in an "LA" motor.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong on any of the above info.

Goto ebay and do a search for "318 Poly" and you'll also find someone has a dual 4 barrel intake listed. Intakes pop up all the time, but are pricey.
