Re: Welcome New Member - 1962 W-300 Power Wagon & 1965 D-200

Hey Dave
I also have a Ram1500 van as my daily driver and parts gopher. When and if I ever get the chance to buy new iy will be a Ram 3500 to tote my vintage to shows. My 62 has 5.88 gears so it is not highway friendly. I long time friend of mine in Tn. sent me a craigslist ad for a 68 D-300 flatbed with a 12 foot bed which would make a pretty cool toter too. I will be posting pics of my 2.I have attatched a couple pics of the 65 and 62 after a trip to central Flroida to bring my 62 home from storage. The 65 is a 400.00 special and the best running vehicle I own. i tried to attatch a couple pics but got a error the message was too large.

Hey Loring - I'm a truck guy too - just don't have a '60s era truck - LOL.  I have an '01 Cummins powered Ram.  I ordered it new from the factory.  Probably my one and only time I'll end up doing that.  The comparable truck today would cost me over 50k.  I'm planning to keep my Ram indefinitely.

Welcome, Loring!  We have a great group of knowledgable and helpful folks here.  As a Mopar guy, '62-'65 guy, and firefighter, I'm triple interested in your projects.  Hope to see some pics some time.Dave'64 Belvedere--- On Sun, 6/5/11, 62to65mopar@xxxxxxxxxxx <62to65mopar@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:> From: 62to65mopar@xxxxxxxxxxx <62to65mopar@xxxxxxxxxxx>> Subject: Welcome New Member - 1962 W-300 Power Wagon & 1965 D-200> To: "1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" <1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>> Date: Sunday, June 5, 2011, 12:50 PM> Welcome to the 1962 to 1965 Mopar> Mail List Clubhouse to Loring!> > Below is Loring's introductory message.> > Thanks,> Gary H.> > ====Introductory Message==== > > Hello, My name is Loring Days and I currently own a 62> W-300 Power Wagon former Orlando fire truck and a 65 D-200> also retired fire cheifs truck from the USDA.
