Max Wedge driveshaft

I'm putting one of my 64 Sport Furys together as an authentic Max Wedge car,
at least as authentic as I can make it. I've found a ball and trunnion
driveline that looks to be new. What is the diameter of a MW original
driveshaft? The one in my 383 Sport Fury is 2 3/4" in diameter. Are they the
same or did the MW come with a beefier driveline? Thanks/ Butch
