For what its worth, for comparison I just saw an ad from a place called Carolina Machine Engines in S.C. for a balanced, blueprinted and dyno tested 318 or 360 pump gas engine for $3996, with more HP versions running $4296 and $5296. I don't know about that company except their ad. To compare, a brand new 360/375HP Magnum Crate Engine is about $5500 from Mancini (completely assembled and dyno tested).
