Silly as it may sound, try checking you plug wires. They might be bad or loose. I was driving my AMC Matador coupe last year and it started running rough and acting up. It then stalled and didn't want to restart. I popped the hood and found one of my plug wires had popped off the cap. Plugged it back in all was well. All was well until it popped back off again later. I replaced the wire set soon after and it's been fine since.
