Re: 1962 shifter boot max wedge

I don't recall seeing a reproduction advertised. If there is one made, guys like Jim Kramer and Joe Suchy would be the vendors most likely to stock it. Otherwise it is a NOS $$$ item.

It traditionally costs a lot to tool up, so producing a repro for such a small number of remaining cars would mean each boot would have to sell for a lot.

But, as it is 2011 soon, it seems right to think ahead. The technology to manufacture small runs of parts like this is getting more affordable.
http://bigthink.com/ideas/24866 gives examples of such speculation about some of the new technologies coming online to quickly and inexpensively manufacture small quantities. That would be good for our Mopar parts supplies. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/09/14/technology/14print.html has more.

Thanks,
Gary H.

Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. I.e., send parts/car transactions and negotiations as well as other personal messages only to the intended recipient, not to the Clubhouse public address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
