The engine part can be handled, also keep in mind the fuel  pump,,,,,,,,,,  
the part I question is the transmission, and weather it is  controlled by 
the puter as well?

The truck is  in nice shape but not running, computer and wiring totally 
screwed  up.

Can I change intakes, put a carb on it and standard electronic  
distributor and have a decent running engine.

If I thought I could  get it running it would be a fun truck.
