As you already know, there are so many opinions and controversy, it is hard 
to make a decision. And then you have factors out to make a buck on this 
topic.

Just my opinion and no "scientific" explanations: ...I use a simple product 
called ZDDPlus additive that can be used with any oil you prefer. Doesn't 
have to be some super dooper oil, just plain old easy to obtain oil. ZDDPlus 
has a website that is very informative including use of racing , diesel, 
etc, oils. One small bottle of it has enough Zddp in it to last thru to the 
next oil change. Cost about $9 a bottle.  Of course on assembly of a new cam 
, I would use the cam makers recommended assembly lube. ZDDPlus has a 
assembly paste which is concentrated Zddp and is good for the rest of the 
engine assembly.  I will try that on my next engine 
build...............................No, I don't have stock or financial
