This may sound a bit goofy but it seemed to work. I was adding the total orifice area of all the jets and using this as a means to increase/decrease the jetting. The night we did so well I have the temp as 43deg and I know the air was very damp. This is good for electrical connections! I started the night at .488" total at WOT and ended at .496" total at WOT. If you have an Eddy chart it's right in between the 18/23 and 22 positions for the 1404 carb. The rods went from 6552 to 6347 on .089 primary jets with plain springs. The sec jets went from .095" to .098". I used .33 pump nozzles and set the accel pump at maxon the lower settings and changed to mid for the final settings. I picked up .14sec that night in the 1/8th. My 60' dropped .088sec. I know the hardcore racers may think this primitive but we have fun:-) Right Ollie? I only got to race twice this year but I hope to be able to pick it up again next season. Until then 'ol LeRoar will be at the Strategic Air and Space Museum for 6 months , with Paul's '63 Plymouth. Ain't it nice to know we are represented for a change!!!
