The car does have the total contact brakes, 2 cyl per wheel in the
front, 1 in the back. I believe the book said to adjust both shoes the
same direction in the front, and opposite directions in the rear. I
replaced one wheel cylinder in the rear already because I couldn't get
the bleeder loose. I examined all the cyls for leaks and everything
was dry, I agree that there could be a problem there as well, which is
why I may do the front disc conversion at the same time.

If the '67 and up master/booster is the way to go, then I'll consider
that. How about firewall and pedal compatibility? Not that I can't
make it work, but I'd rather do as little modifying as possible..
