Yes it will work just like new. Heli-coils are stronger than the original threads. Dont sweat it, and I am a mechanical engineer, not just some guy telling you this.

If my memory is right, the rear quarter panels from a Belvedere should work.
If you check with Sherman, they have patch panels for the B bodies.
If you are going to the MOPAR nats then one of the vendors should have them.
