RE: Future of old cars and shows.

I hate to clarify but I was refering to the person who is well able to do physical things to their cars.
There are things that I can't do such as line boring and balancing, but putting the engine back together after getting it back from the machine shop isn't that complicated and gives me satisfaction of doing it myself.
Building a 727 tranny is not that complicated. The 727 is one of the easiest automatic transmissions to work on.
I have always thought that if a person could read and had a basic set of tools; well, mine aren't basic but assembling a mopar engine and 727 tranny aren't that hard.
Sanding, stripping, polishing, painting and rubbing; ( read sweating) are some of the things that go into enjoying your car.
I just get a hard on for the guys that speak of all the work they did to their car when they mean all the work they paid to have done.
My body work is good and my paint is ok.
I do tell every one that Elwood Yadon did my interior and would recommend him to anyone. He is by far one of the best interior men in the midwest
