Jack: There is little to no welting or felt used between sheet metal components on 60's Mopars. Using it will affect your fit and finish, as its hard enough getting everything right on these unibody cars when you re-assemble them. The important thing is noting where any shims are used as you may need those again for the re-assembly. Your fully prepped, primed, and painted body components will be fine with a light coating of grease where they are bolted together. This will cut just a little bit of noise, but more importantly will limit paint chipping, damage and corrosion while allowing you to "slide" and fit panels together. Just some obvious simple ideas...hope that helps.
