I agree,,,,,,,if the engine is running at all, I think that the gears and  
the dist. are in a workable position, double or even triple check the firing 
 order, it is so easy to make the same mistake twice,,,,,,,,   and on a  
second note  Herb,,,,,,  thanks for coming back and clarifying   that I had 
not lost my mind (well at least totally)

The stalling sounds like a timing related  problem. I suggest he check 
the spark plug firing order. Especially 5 and  7.  Car will run with 
these swapped but  not very  good.

One common problem is a vacuum leak but the motor usually runs  faster, 
not stall out, as in Nico's case.
