Re: New Project

I don't know where you are from but, 318,340,360 are way more popular than 440 s around here where I live. Actually very few mopars that I see at shows are 440 powered. 340s are way cool as well in my books, they have a distinctive sound when cammed. 440s are cool but no way do they even represent 1% of cars with 350 chevys. Either way you will still have one cool mopar powered car.
cheers

Nico,
I will probably get hammered for this one.......
If I was redoing another vehicle, unless it is a super stocker; I would very seriously consider going with a 340 vs 440.
my reasons
more user friendly fuel wise/ daily driver
less common eng/we are rapidly approaching the 440 show in our Mopars, i.e. the 350 ch***y in everything
better fit / less cooling problems
Just my $ .02..presented free of charge

The rocker chrome on the Bel was a much smaller piece than the Satellite. The Satellite is as wide as the rocker itself.

Thanks Ollie for the info, my Bel II has side and rocker chrome with bench
seats. The 318 is seized but am intending to put a 440 in it anyway.
