RE: '64 Seat Belt Re-webbing (Rear seat)

John,
IIRC seat belts were an option until 1966 or so... I think a lot of
the earlier cars had them dealer installed if they had them at all.

As with most things [fuddy duddy mode on] I'd error on the side of
caution. I'd put new ones in - you can always push 'em between the seats at
a show. If you don't want to have to hide the car seat while at a show or
cruise Simpson makes a car seat that looks like a racing seat, complete with
5 point harness. The seat was top rated in crash testing.

Great conversation starter and most observers think it's pretty cool
that a) you're bringing the kids, and b) you went the extra mile to get the
kid a cool seat.

BTW, kudos on including the kids. I had fun with mine when they
were little and can't wait for grandkids (don't tell my 18 year old).

	Look forward to your pictures.

My $.02...
SC

As long as we are on the subject of seat belts I would like to know, on my
64 sport fury, it has front seat belts ( non retractable) are there rear
seat belts? As I haven't removed the seat yet. I would like to bring my 1
year old to maybe 1 or 2 cars shows this year. Or should I get some new ones
and not worry about 40 year old material. I also need to post some pics on
photobucket for your guys comments. As it still is a unrestored survivor and
there are a few things I would like to upgrade, but would like to know the
census of the group, if I should do them or not. Thanks John Wask....
