Re: 1965 500?



I had a 65 Coronet 440 2 dr ht and it was a 4 speed car also.
That car is a 426 wedge motor, as that was the replacement for the 413 in 65.
The throttle hold down was probably put on as the car came down the line.
The car was probably built on Friday or Monday and somebody was in a hurry to get out of town or hung over that day; although I don't remember my throttle cable hold down.
My car was brand new when  I bought it and it too had chrome valve covers.
Just my 02 worth.
I wouldn't pay that much for the car my self but if it was a 440 2 dr ht; now that would be another matter.
