They're likely 'swedged' on. Meaning the wheel studs are stamped on the front side, flaring the stud out at the base which holds the drum onto the hub. 
Trying to beat the hub or studs out will ruin the drum by bending/warping it. You'll have to either cut or drill the heads off the the studs from the back and push them through the front.

Today I finished up the paint detailing and installation of all front 
suspension componets. I wanted to remove the drums from the hubs and just 
put the hubs on with wheels so I could move the car-64 Dodge. How the heck 
do you get the drums off the fron hubs??? I soaked everything with PB 
blaster and tried dropping the drum on concrete hoping that the hub would 
fall in , but no such luck. Any tricks to get them apart?.................MO
