Spring pressures also enter into the decision to go with a roller set up. Roller lifters may not wipe a lobe, but they do break. I'm running a very fast (near roller specs) ramp Comp solid cam with EDM lifters, 350# open pressure, and Brad Penn Racing oil. For oils, I recommend Brad Penn Racing and VR-1.
