RE: Muffler

Chris,
I have had a couple of sets of the Dynomax Super Turbos on my
max-wedge (okay, in an A-Body) and I love the sound... the best word I can
think of to characterize the sound is "husky". Over the course of a few
years and many 1/4 mile passes they get a little louder and a little louder
then one day things start dancing off the shelves in the dining room. A new
set definately made a difference. I never really noticed anything I would
call popping under acceleration or deceleration - the closest thing was a
pleasant "poppety-poppety-poppety" from the turned down tailpipes at idle...
Not loud or blatty even when completely blown out.

Hello,

I´m going for a max wedge clone and my next step will be the tti max wedge
exhaust system.

But I´m not sure about the Dynomax super turbo mufflers that go with it. As
a sound engineer I know that there are many things to consider but I have no
experience at all with different mufflers.

So I ask You guys for some help what to go for( Dynomax ultraflow, FM 40´s
and so on....)

What I´m trying to prevent is a popping sound what I´ve heard with some 3"
systems.

I know it is a chevrolet but this is a great example for a great sounding
car which I´ve found on Youtube.

Thanks for Your help,

Chris
