Re: Buy vs. Build

Both sides have great points. So maybe we need to take the VS out of the conversation. And for sure if you drive her she's never done weather u buy or build..like for instance after paint my guy didn't tighten the door handles w lock washers. Now they about to fall off and I gotta take those brand new door panels off.
Sorry bout your back Dan. Myself I have a crushed disk and it makes car work very slow so I can relate.

Yep Ron, There sure is a Beatles song like that. I believe Ringo was the
lead singer and the lyric goes "Will you still need me, Will you still feed
me, When I'm sixty-four?" I should know because I've been singing it to my
younger wife since my 64th birthday last November.

Well I'm retired and now have the time (but no money) and although I've been
doing what I can to work on my own cars since I was a teenager I just can't
do it anymore. Just keeping them clean has become a pain. Literally, I'm
scheduled for lower back surgery at the end of this month. If the surgery
goes ok I've decided I'd like to have a 4-speed again before I go to that
great highway in the sky so I'm thinking of selling or trading my 63 Fury
convert for a 4-speed Mopar. But one thing for sure, it will be a turnkey
car and no more project vehicles. I just want something I can drive. I go to
a lot of cruises and shows and half the fun is getting there. Don't get me
wrong I admire anyone who still works on there own cars, Been there and done
that but I just can't do it anymore. Although I have to agree with a couple
of the other comments, there's no such thing as a done car. There's always
something to fix or upgrade or that you want to do to make it your own.
