Seriously, that gas tank strap bolt is a tough one; if you lube it up with a good rust remover spray and work it off back & forth to rid the rust resistance it is unlikely it will snap. (I know, famous last words.) New straps/bolts are available, as noted already. I have a spare gas tank strap and probably a bolt too, come to think of it.
