The pans are real tough! Never had one bend pulling a tranny. Figure, the engine is supported by the mounts and only partial weight is on the draglink or K frame. When you pull the engine and set it down, all the weight is on the pan, nothing happens! If you have a cast pan, I might be concerned as they could possibly get a stress crack from the weight in one small location Herb 1956 Plymouth Belvedere 361 1959 Coronet 326 Poly 1963 Fury 2D/HT 6.1 1963 Sport Fury Convertible 361 1970 Challenger RT 440 1999 Durango SLT 5.9 2006 300-C Heritage 5.7 2008 SRT-8 Magnum 6.1 St. Louis, MO. http://1962to1965mopar.ornocar.com/mmo42009.html -------Original Message------- From: Dennis C. I think I'll just jack up the transmission enough to get the cross member out then see how far it wants to come down, I'll probably just use a block as recommended under the pan if it trys to come down more than I like. I know I should change the rear seal, looks like I would have to lift the engine to get enough clearance to pull the pan. I'll see how the trnasmission goes then consider the seal. Thanks Dennis C.
