I the next two weeks I am converting an early Hemi manifold to holey from wcfb. If I think of it I will take photos. A spacer is used but they need more than just that .

There's basically no way to bolt a modern carb to that manifold without it. The bolt pattern for the manifold is WAY too small. I'll round some pics up for you too. Thats great Bill, glad you got yours worked out. I wouldn't mind a picture of your throttle linkage and kickdown. I'm going to rout out the rear ports on the intake and use an edelbrock carburetor, without a spacer, but I'd like to have the picture just in case I change my mind later. Now that I think about it I've got an edelbrock nitrous plate kit thats been laying around for a few years... hmmmmm...Send it to my e-mail if you can, I'd appreciate it. I am however going to have to modify the goalpost. We figured out that I'll cut a piece off the 2nd one I have and weld it onto the original essentially making a double goal post. Since the carb is wider and it pushes the kickdown outward, this will keep it from hanging and flopping around. I'm using an adapter from Trans Dapt. It works well but you'll have to finish it. The holes where it mounts to the manifold are not drilled. Drill the holes and get a counter sink. Drill out the top of the adapter until you can put 45 degree shoulder allen head screws are flush. If anyone wants pics, I can take some. It was surprisingly easy once I figured it out.
