Uh, oh. Here's a red flag. Both Dodger and I have used #2 welding cable 
for battery cables. It is high quality, high strand cable that is very 
flexible. I also entirely covered mine with heat shrink. Mine are about 
4' long each and go to the starter post for the positive and to the 
starter mounting bolt for the negative. I did this because that's what 
my Ron Francis wire harness instructed me to do. I also removed the 
protective fiber cover from the original positive cable and slid it over 
the new one too. Those headers put out a lot of heat! So what's the 
issue with welding cable?
