I also just joined mopar website and have a 64 Sport Fury. So far I have bought the parts to rebuild the front end and rear brakes. I plan to put disks on the front, but don't know which conversion kit is best. Any ideas welcome. Also I have bought two 440s, one is a brand new warranty replacement engine a former Chrysler warranty engineer had stored in his garage over the years and the other is a 74-78 block which I'm leaning toward using with a stroker kit. Again any opinions / ideas would be appreciated. Along with the new highway patrol replacement engine came a brand new in the box thermo quad carb (if anyone is interested I will be reselling it) and new exhaust manifolds if anyone needs new ones with new bolts. The heads are 452 castings (not used and still in the box) with newvalves and springs. I have also found a 489 casting rear end to replace the tapered axles, but don't have a posi unit if anyone wants to sell/trade one.I have researched some of the options and probably know enough to be adanger to myself and my wallet, so if anyone has ideas I'm all ears. Oh thecar shows 62K miles and the 318 poly and tranny are in great condition if anyone wants a ready to go engine and trans. Sport Fury, Iam not ready to begin building the car yet, but I need to start collectingparts. First will be the engine, it came with a 361, which I have, howeverI am told that high performance parts are hard to come by for this engine,a 440 was suggested. I the 440 is ok what type or model will fit the car. Second, I lost the transmission, for the car on a labor trade gone bad. The car has floor shift in it which I still have. Question what type, or model of transmission will fit, and allow the floor shift. I am just starting out on this adventure, I think the car is sound, norust, from El Paso Tx. but I lack the basic knowledge, which I know all ofyou in this discussion group have.
