Re: fuel gauge woes

I would start by shorting the sender wire, at the tank ,to ground and see if 
that makes the gauge read Full. If it reads full, then the gauge and wiring 
are OK, and the problem is in the tank. The sender could be faulty, or the 
float has sprung a leak, and stays on the bottom of the tank.
