Re: memorabilia

"We must remember not to be too hasty throwing stuff out even today."

Such truth to these words! When I was 20, I joined the Canadian Navy. On the day I left for basic training - Cornwallis, N.S. - my father had my '69 Nova SS towed to the wreckers, with my collection of car magazines & Petersen manuals stowed in the trunk. Nothing wrong with the car, my father just didn't want it in his driveway! Conversely, my brother has a '59 Simca sitting in my shop. I was about to send it to the crusher, when I found a guy on craigslist who was selling one, because he couldn't get parts. Soon, I'll have my "scrap value" & he'll have a pretty good parts car - though, why anyone would want to restore such a car is beyond me. Especially those who have a '62-'64 Mopar should heed Don's words. If I were to make one complaint about my '65 Sport Fury, it would be that it is not a '64. These days, most 50s & 60s MoPars are worth keeping for the investment value, alone. Imagine, a continuously appreciating retirement plan that you can
actually have fun with. How many financial institutions can offer you that?
