Jim, I agree with Gary on this. I run 15" 235 BFG T/A Radials on my 62 polara and they ride and handle great. With that criteria, I would choose the BFG radials and run the black side/non-white letter side on the outside. BFG's are safe, perform well for the street (I run BFG Drag Radials on the back of my "Stock" '56 Plymouth w/Stroker motor), and I like the looks of them with the blackwall side out. I think that the "period correct" Coker tires are very expensive and do not last nearly as long as a modern radial and they certainly will not perform compared to a radial or with any amount of HP. My "opinion" as to what I have done and will continue to do for my cars.
