Jim,

I agree with Gary on this.  I run 15" 235 BFG T/A Radials on my 62 polara
and they ride and handle great.

Since you asked for "opinions" I will tell you what I would do, safety and 
performance first, looks second, price last.

With that criteria, I would choose the BFG radials and run the black 
side/non-white letter side on the outside.

BFG's are safe, perform well for the street (I run BFG Drag Radials on the 
back of my "Stock" '56 Plymouth w/Stroker motor), and I like the looks of 
them with the blackwall side out.

I think that the "period correct" Coker tires are very expensive and do not 
last nearly as long as a modern radial and they certainly will not perform 
compared to a radial or with any amount of HP.

My "opinion" as to what I have done and will continue to do for my cars.
