Re: Lee: Our list

Gary, Very nice write up about the 62-65 list. I am not able to contribute any technical advice, but I am never afraid to ask for it from this group. Everyone likes to offer their help for the sake of helping a fellow Mopar member fix his car. I have cruised the HAMB on occasion too, but would never feel like contributing due to the rude nature of some of the participants comments. On the other hand, the person who runs the HAMB also run the Garage Journal which has a much nicer group of people who are also helpful. The HAMBERs seems to feel like they are different from the Billet roadsters, but if you check out what they build, most of it are copies of cars already done in the 50s and 60s.

This is a unique group.

Well, now that two members have spoken negatively about the HAMB forum so
must I.

I got flamed with my first post and have never been back.  It is no
exaggeration to say that some on that forum are grossly rude and arrogant
without due cause.  Some posters displayed gross ignorance re: our hobby as
well as the English language.
Nuff said; the vent is clear.

On the flip side, this 62-65 Mail List is one the most knowledgeable and
friendly lists on the entire web.  Our most car-savvy list members share
their experience, wisdom, and opinions/thoughts with everyone without regard
of "meeting a worthiness" criteria so often requisite in our car hobby; "if
you are not as smart as I am or have as nice/rare a car then I will not talk
to you" is the attitude in many car club circles.

Thanks to all who share their time and expertise with me/us!
