Yeah that is an interesting style. uI have not seen it. My concern emminates from seeing fellow racers buy the exotic and wind up with a basket of parts and a truckload of excuses. It bothers me that they caught caught with a busted engine while trying to "do the right thing" so to speak. I know too well how a disaster like that can end a project ad cause stress on a man and his family too and maybe i have taken the other appproach to prevent that. I do know from experience that cast iron is more than ip to the job with no problem but i also realize at some point as the complexity of the engine progresses that there are ilmits to everything. Even my beloved cast iron. In my experiments I have risked my own motor. (never a customers) to find out if something was true of if I just had a hard headed opinion. Sometimes like with these it was more expensive than i would have liked and always i hoped forthe best or i wouldnt have done it. Still it sounds like a pretty well thought out set up he installed for you. I have not seen that.
