RE: slimy heater hoses

Sean,

The first year that I stored my car I had this problem with the heater
hose as well as one of the power steering hoses. A member of my car club
checked it and found a simple answer. The hoses were not pressure rated,
just plain 5/8 heater hose. A quality hose has a mesh liner and a
rating. I changed to a quality hose and have not seen this again for the
past 5 winter storage years.
