Speedo cable routing

I;m in the midst of routing my speedo cable.I'd like
some advice with guys who have MW manifolds as to
where they ran the cable to avoid the heat. My cable
is longer than stock since it mates to a late model 4
speed and my original speedo head. Any advice out
there?
