RE: poly question

Three years ago I did the homework to put a 360 crank in a Poly. At the
time, Silvolite offered a 318 Poly truck piston that was only 7.0-1
compression. This piston was not the 1278, but something else.
Checking the compression heights with formulae found online through the
1962to1965 website tech archives, I determined that with a .030"
overbore and a 360 crank you would get almost exactly 10.0-1
compression, with no modifications. I then tripped over a couple of
440's, and went that direction.

However, this piston is no longer listed on Silvolite's website. I bet
if someone called them they might still have them, though.

Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. I.e., send parts/car transactions and negotiations as well as other personal messages only to the intended recipient, not to the Clubhouse public address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
