RE: Is he ever satisfied?

Some good news for a change.

AutoInstruments are happy to take our cluster back and refinish it how
we want it, although they are adamant that 63 Dodges came with either
painted or plated instrument clusters, depending on trim level.
I said that I'd never seen a painted one until now. They say they've
seen more painted ones. Oh well.
After justifying their actions (ie returning it with paint as that's how
it was supplied to them), Gentry went on to say:
"Regardless, we want you to be happy with our services and will rechrome
the unit again if you prefer to have it chrome rather than silver. My
particular concern is that you not feel helpless dealing with a company
from a different country - we want you to have what you expect.
If you decide to send it to us please specify this point in a note
attached with the bezel or include a copy of this email. We receive an
incredible amount of parts and don't want to accidentally send you a
beautiful silver cluster twice!
I apoligize for not getting your bezel back to you correctly the first
time.
Again I'm sorry for the problem."

Although I've now got to repackage the unit and pay for postage back to
the US, then pay to get it back here and thru customs (I've yet to
discuss this with them), I'm impressed with their attitude and it's a
great relief as this came about in the same week we found our Legendary
seats covers to be not 100% as expected also!

So if anyone else is considering using them, I'd recommend them fully
but make sure they know what finish you require on what parts in case
there are other options.

Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. I.e., send parts/car transactions and negotiations as well as other personal messages only to the intended recipient, not to the Clubhouse public address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
