You're correct, assuming the geometry of the disc spindle is exactly the same as that of the drum spindle it's replacing, and also that the face of the hub where the wheel mounts is held in the exact same place. Otherwise, your alignment will change. So the real answer is, most likely your alignment will still be in spec, but it may not be spot on where you'd want it to be.

The alignment won't be affected if you convert to discs because the UCA's don't have to come off. That's where the cams are. Unless the car has bushing issues, you should be okay. --- bschleic57@xxxxxxx wrote:certainly the disc brake conversion, even if the proper a-body spindles are used changes alignment.? also our cars are very sensative to control arm bushing wear. especially the lowers -----Original Message----- From: george smith <bt6t4@xxxxxxxxx> To: 1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxx Sent: Sun, 30 Sep 2007 10:41 pm Subject: Re: Front end alignment There's an old shade tree mechanic way to check the toe. I have since forgotten it. You need to find someone you trust totally and knows about our cars. There used to be a tool to check TB height. Don't know if it exists today. --- Skagdrager@xxxxxxx wrote: > > > > I often suspect that my front ends (62 Dart 4dr. > drums & 62 Dart convert w/ > disc upgrade per the book) are not aligned properly, > though I've had > "professionals" (who claim proper knowledge) adjust > them several times.
