That's what was under my 361's carb pad, regular foil faced building
insulation.
All scrunched up and packed in.

It's basically a piece of fiberglass insulation
wrapped in aluminum foil.

There is a product that used to be made that was
called Armaflex.
Air conditioning companies use it, mostly on
refridgerant lines, but it
does come in sheets
It's black in color, and comes in 1/2" thickness.
Works well. Looks like neopreme rubber.
As small of a piece that you need. you may find
someone that would give
it to you.
