Re: Intake Finishes

I'm gonna have the local machine shop "hot tank" it, but even when
I've done that in the past, the paint peels anyway...was just hoping
someone might have a prep tip or something. I'll probably end up
trying powder this time...dunno

Since I finally found a stock 4bbl intake, I'm obviously going to have
to paint it. Since no one makes a hi-temp powder coat in red it looks
like I'm stuck w/ "engine paint" or standard powder. How well will
regular powder hold up on and intake? Does anyone have any tips to
getting "engine paint" to actually last and not peel or discolor after
  2-3 warm-ups?
