Joe,
From my experience, no. The best price/value/performance (my
experience/preference) is the LD340 Edelbrock, a vintage intake selling for
around $150 at swap meets when you find them, next is the Weiand #8022 still
avail. new but get it used at around $100-150, lastly the new Edelbrock Air
Gap. All three intakes will propel you into the 12's and lower if need be.
All have great throttle response off-idle and power ALL through the
powerband. These are high performance dual plane intakes.

Is a Offy "Port o sonic" a decent manifold? Gotta guy who wants to trade
one. It's for a LA motor and I have a 71 340 in the shop being rebuilt.
