RE: Button safety? Racers?



No answers so I guess I stumped the group. :)

Anyway, the gentleman sent me more information that may ignite some 
dormant brain cell memories in someone:

"It looks like a small piece of channel about 3 inches with a cover that 
covers the PNR and first(which is drive) buttons so you have to lift up 
the cover to use those buttons."

Anyone recall seeing this back in the '60s?
