Thanks guys. I will keep all abreast. If you have the Edelbrock 
Performer Carb owners manual, on page 18 is the 1403/1404 carb chart. I 
tried "6" 1st, then "11". I intend to try "7" next and I have ordered 
the rods for "13" and "8". I think I will also put in the plain spring 
in the meter rod and try that. I should know more before the week-end is 
over.
