Neutral Safety Switch?

Hi guys,

Hope the weather's picking up where you are, like it is here!

Anyone know where we can get a new (or good used) one for our '63 Polara w/pushbutton 727?
We can get the later type over here, with 3 terminals for the wiring, but we need the earlier type with 1 (threaded?) connection.
Ours doesn't look like it's been worn-out, but the pointy bit inside the trans is miles away (ok, about 1/8") from the Park & Neutral fingers that, I believe, are supposed to make contact with it.

Actually, I'm assuming the one fitted is the correct type, but as it doesn't look like it would ever work with that gap, and as there's no wiring either, It could just be any old switch fitted to plug the hole! So if anyone could advise which switch should be there, that would be a great starting point!

And now I'm wondering, would the 3-terminal version work in our 'box? If we gotta do the wiring from scratch, maybe it could be made to work?

Any advice gratefully received!

Thanks

Robert
