Easy now the edelbrock "knock off" is a far superior piece. for one thing the accel pumps are better (not made from a piece of a dried out cow) and bigger , 
625 tis a bit tiny  for a 383 but try it and see if You like it cause that is really all that matters. Usuallly they wont pull the skin off a grape but maybe your boss can make it boogy. Cant imagine having trouble with a 750 Holley (3310?) it is, bar none, the worlds best carb ,ever.
