for any interested in road racing. i found a bunch more videos on the european net of the 400 lemans engine in action and pasted them on the lemans page of my site. 
About thecarb tuning on that 440 question we had a couple of days ago. Best way to sort it out is to go back to stock set up. Basically in most average climates with modern gas two steps from that seems to work best. Also, with a cam, lighter springs under the metering rod pistons keeps the power circuit from opening during low speed unless full throttle is applied. Carb tuning BTW is much easier to do than to describe
