Subject: Re: 13 inch tires (what good ones are available?) Jim, I could find *nothing* for my car in 13" that was worthwhile at all. Besides the fact that the rims are very skinny, 13" tires are just hard to locate. Sears sells their "Guardsmen" tire for $33/ea in that size. I'm sure a local tire shop has them as well. But its a littlescary to ride on those cookie cutters ;)
I went with a 14x6 rim and got 215/60/14s, or lots do 205/70/14, assuming you can find/get SBP rims you like in 14" Hope that helps! MJ On 1/11/07, Jim Ozolins <j_ozolins@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:
I've been planning to get new tires for my '64 Valiant. It is hard to find very many choices for the 185-80-13's she needs. Tire Rack and Discount tire are not much help. Any other sources? Jim Ozolins

Talk about cornering, my 67 dart GT would scrape the rocker panels around a 90 corner, at speed,
no tire squeal.... The next time i needed tires, they were not available.Changed to 14" mags, FR70-14 front, GR60-14 rear...looked better, handled better, tires available.
the new sizes would be about a 235-70 and a 255-60 best guess...guess i'm stuck in the past, just checked...the 13" wheels that were around and in the way for years...
must of finally got pitched...couldn't find them.... The Dart left a few years ago...another mistake13 inch wheels...if the car needs them for collecter status...save them and put some practical wheels
and tires on it... rob and the ferrets opinion in phx ---- Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
